SSS's Jon Rowley will be competing in "The Wolf Run" on Sunday 4th September 2016 and raising money for Action Heart.
Jon was training for this event 3 ½ years ago when he suffered a massive heart attack which caused a 4 week stay in intensive care . This was a life changing event for him and without the help and advice from Action Heart a charity organisation based in Russells Hall Hospital Jon feels his recovery would not have enabled him to be in the condition he is today.
He set himself a target the day he walked out of the hospital and that was to complete this run (however slowly) within 3 years and therefore he will be competing on the 4th September 2016 and raising money for Action Heart .
Action Heart help many people not just people with Heart problems but Stroke Victims, Diabetics, people with physical and mental challenges, the elderly and people with weight issues and offer a 12 month long recovery programme.
